Hey, I'm here! It was a great flight, very smooth. I even ended up with an aisle seat in the exit area - room to stretch out!
I can honestly say it feels like "home" here. As I was walking to Arrivals after getting off the plane I couldn't wipe the grin off my face, nor ignore the feeling that it all felt so natural, so normal to be there. I was so at ease. I've only had 2.5 hours of sleep, so I'm feeling pretty 'loopy', but it's been a wonderful day.
Currently listening to: Death Cab for Cutie's Transatlanticism - b/c that's what's playing at Prince St. Cafe at the moment.
So, something funny happened the other day. I was in the front room of our house (it faces out toward the street) and I heard this loud noise, almost like metal scraping along the street. So I went over to the window to see what it was...and suddenly about four large work horses appeared pulling a cart with an Amish man riding in it. Hmm. I laughed out loud and said to myself, "Only in Lancaster County." What makes it even funnier (to me at least) is that our neighborhood looks like something out of the movie "The Truman Show". In fact a friend of mine nicknamed it "Trumanville". So, to see this coming down a street in our neighborhood is particularly funny to me.
