$4.25 for a hotdog

Currently listening to Butterfly Boucher: Flutterby

I spent the day with my mom yesterday. We decided to go to the Philadelphia Flower Show - the largest indoor flower show in the world. We took the train because, well, it's fun, and you don't have to deal with traffic and insanely overpriced parking in Philly.

Our train was pretty empty since it was 8:30, as you can see.

We were pretty excited...and tired.

The 'theme' this year was "Legends of Ireland" so naturally we thought it would reflect a lot of Irish architecture, landscape, gardens, etc. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. However, a gang of Irish were there from the tourism industry to help lure more Americans to the Emerald Isle. As if Americans weren't already obsessed with it enough... :)

Me n' some flowers.

And lastly, proof that there is indeed a "society" for anything.

These are great pics Rebecca. Looks like you and your mom spent some good, quality time together. I am glad that you liked Sadie's haiku. She is going to keep writing them for you on her blog from time to time. :) I like to call it POETRY 101. Later.

It's days like this that remind me that life is good when we can simply kick back and enjoy them with family.

I've got to see if there are any flower shows coming to town anytime soon. I'd go nuts with my camera! Maybe I'll even take the train, too: it's the best way to travel regional distances.
