a london window

Here's a photo I actually took while in London in 2005. The print quality isn't the greatest because it was developed at Wal-Mart :) And it was taken on a *gasp* 35mm camera! :) Hope you enjoy it - green line through the middle, stupid date stamp in the corner, and all.
Currently listening to Gomez, How We Operate from the album How We Operate.

I like it! Where were you? And yes...we will be going to the Castle for a pint too! :)
Nothing a little Photoshop couldn't fix. What matters is that you absolutely nailed the composition. The detail in the worn edgings of the curved frame is amazing.
Old 35mm my eye: some of the best pictures result from the subtleties that only film can grasp. For all its vaunted capabilities, no digital sensor yet invented can approach film yet on this front.
That'll change over time. But for now, film's the cat's meow for images like yours. Stunning stuff.
Beautiful image, i love the composition!
I like the date stamp! When you're old and have limited memory space available, you'll appreciate that date stamp too! :)
Love ya!

Good point Sarah :) But the date stamp stay "1994"...I took the pictures in 2005. :) Craaaaap. I didn't even know it was on...b/c I really don't know how to operate my camera! Ha! Love you!
lovely shot! it took me forever to figure out how to get the date stamp off my digital photos. but, like sarah, said....that might be a good thing down the road! :)
I came here by way of Anna's blog. I see that you are a graduate of Geneva College. My son is married to Kristie Martel's sister. He went to school with Keith at Penn State and then worked with CCO.
I like your blog about identity. It is, after all, who we are in Christ, isn't it.
hey. how was your visit here? sorry i didn't get to see you. did you call my phone? i was a bit busy as well so i totally understand. was your drive here and back ok? well, i have to go grab some lunch. i hope your doing well. i'll talk to you later.
I love the angle and tones in this - a lovely architectural shot. I love the worn and aged detail and the way you composed this image. Just beautiful!
{{{HUGS}}} any chance of some peanut butter on toast? :D

Where are you??? :)
Funny....do you want to be in a rock band with me? I always wanted to do that when I grew up! :)
BTW, I am eating your duds girl! Thanks. And check out Andrew Balkwill (his link is on my post from today). He plays here but goes to the States too! We saw him love in Covent Garden and were SO hooked!
Later!
OK, we saw him LIVE not love....JEEEESH! :)
I agree with the rest...the composition is stunning. I love the detail, and the clear light reflected in some of the panes. Thanks for the comment on my blog! I'm glad you liked the article enough to come hunting for me. :) Blessings!
That is a beautiful photo! I love the richness of it. Are you going to bring photos from the last couple of years tomorrow? I have no idea how many boxes that would be! hehe.
hey i still shoot lots in 35mm - and never use a light meter!
something warming about holding film and having to work hard with light....
love the image, it settles us and earths us in reality but somehow lifts us to something that is both within us and beyond.....
