I don't put much stock in "Awards" such as the Oscars or the Grammys (ok, I hardly put ANY), but giving "Best New Artist" to Carrie Underwood?! As one writer put it, "it's highway robbery." Yes, indeed. Sure, she's an incredibly talented singer and entertainer, but let's consider just two other artists she was up "against" - Corinne Bailey Rae & Imogen Heap. Sorry Carrie. You're great and all, but you definitely don't compare to either songstress.Ok, that's my opinion for the day. In other news, my boss's haiku for today is:
Happy heat we have
Snowy snow to come soon, no?
Good for winter fun
And the answer to the previous post is "John Adams". Good times...whatever that means.

Hey. Thanks for coming to visit my blog! I love it when new people drop by. OK. Don't hate me, but I like Carrie Underwood. I didn't watch the Grammy's at all. I did get to walk through and jam out to Justin. He rocks. BUT, I'll take your word that it was Highway Robbery. I have never even heard of that Imogen Heap person, so maybe CU won just because she is already popular.???
Well, I do like Carrie Underwood..or atleast I liked her during American Idol. I'm not a country music fan, so I can't say I follow her music now. I have no clue who those other 2 artists are that she was up against...so I'll just take your word that she wasn't the best of the 3. I didn't even realize it was Grammy night...so what does that say about me?? Loserrrr? Yes.

Hi there, just visiting. I like Carrie Underwood but I agree Imogene should have gotten it. My daughter loves her but I don't really listen to her but I have heard her sing. Sorry I tend to run on sometimes.

I have a friend coming from the States tomorrow and she is bringing me a bag full of People magazines! The nice Indian man here at the corner market gets me US magazines which I read and then trade for a haircuts next door! Hey, a girls gotto do what a girls gotto do right? Hehehe. :) I am becoming extremely resourceful! I bet I can get you cuts too!
